Cain and Abel
Cain and Abel were brothers, The children of Adam and Eve, They were happy together, Or at least that's how it seemed... A family of four, Who could ask for more? Cain, the oldest, loved farming, Planting and watching things grow, Abel watched over his flock, The happiest shepherd you'd ever know... Cain tended his crops, Abel protected his sheep. Time passed; the harvest was over. Time to give thanks to the Lord, Cain offered worthless left overs, Why waste what he'd get money for? God was not pleased, Cain had just shown his greed. When the new lambs were arriving, Abel selected the best He sacrificed the most precious To say thank you for the rest. Abel honored his Lord, God blessed his herd. Cain became angry with Abel, He didn't think it was his fault that God had rejected his offering, It must just be Abel showing off! Abel was to blame for Cain's embarrassing shame. Cain took Abel to his field, He said he would show him around, Instead Cain killed his brother, Where no one would hear a sound. Cain wanted to hide His fratricide. God asked, "Have you seen your brother?" Am I my brother's keeper? Cain said. God said "Abel's blood' is on your hands I know exactly what you did!" Judgement had come Cain had nowhere to run. God said "Nothing will grow in your fields now, there is nothing you can do, You've lost your home, and must wander the rest of your life through..." Cain paid the price, For the rest of his life.
