So many times I have tried to keep fueling my selfish pride,

Thinking only of me, master of my destiny.

Striving for so long, I realized I was so wrong.

And then You came along and set me free.

Now I'm justified by faith, sanctified in love,

Free in the Covenant signed with His blood.

At the throne of God, before my Father's face,

He sees the spotless lamb standing in my place.

Exalting in victory won, resting in the work He's done

Bathed in His promises true, trusting He will see me through.

Striving for so long, I knew I couldn't go on and then You came along and rescued me.

Now I'm justified by faith, sanctified in love,
