Holy Saturday Craft Project

Remember that Holy Saturday is a time to "Reflect with Gratitude on Jesus' Sacrifice" as you prepare to celebrate salvation in the resurrection on Easter Sunday.
You will need:
  • 1  5" x 8" wood plaque
  • 6 6" flat craft sticks
  • Stick-on letters
  • 12" red ribbon (less than 1" wide)
  • 2 thumbtacks
                   plus
    
  • dark wood stain
  • foam paint applicator
  • scissors
  • ruler
  • glue 

 

Instructions


 1.Stain or paint plaque (dark color). Dry thoroughly.
2.Cut about 1/2" off 3 craft sticks.
3.Glue 3 full length craft sticks into the middle of the plaque to form the body of the cross.
4.Glue 3 shortened craft sticks across the body to form the arms.
5.Use lettering:  "Reflect" above the cross.
"Gratitude" across the arms of the cross.
"Sacrifice" down the body of the cross.
6Use thumbtacks to attach each end of the ribbon to the back of the plaque to make a hanger.
