"Spy" Wednesday - Caiaphas' Crown Project
As the high priest, Caiaphas wore what was called a golden "crown" wrapped around his forehead.
It was engraved with the words "Holiness to the Lord" (written in Hebrew)
but, of course, his Lord was not Jesus!
We can also wear a crown like Caiaphas, but ours will have a cross on each side
to make it clear we are part of Christ's Royal Priesthood!

Instructions | ||
1. | Print pattern on cardstock.
2. | Cut along the heavy black line to create the crown. Cut out two crosses.
3. | Your crown should stretch from ear to ear. Measure the distance with a tape measure and cut the cardstock to that length.
4. | Spread glue on one side of each cross and sprinkle with glitter.
5. | While the glitter dries, punch a hole at each end of the crown.
6. | Cut two 18" lengths of ribbon.
7. | When the glitter has dried, place glue on the back of each cross and press into place close to the holes on each end of the crown.
8. | Use your pencil to lightly write "Holiness to the Lord" across the crown. You can erase until you have it just the way you want it, then trace your letters with magic marker.
9. | Run a ribbon through each end hole.
10. | Place the crown across your forehead and have someone tie the ribbons together at the back of your head.
Wear your crown with pride! You are not like Caiaphus! You are a member of our savior's royal priesthood! |
Use stick-on letters instead of writing on the crown. Use gold spray paint to make the crown truly golden. Decorate the crosses with sequins.
