Luther Stained Glass Window
Martin Luther said that people had a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. He said that the relationship between God and people was founded on the Word of God as found in the Bible, the Grace of God given to us through the death and resurrection of Jesus, and our personal faith. Many Lutheran churches celebrate this with a stained glass window that says "Word Alone, Grace Alone, Faith Alone." In this project, you can make a stained glass window for your very own!

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS 1. Print the window pattern on white paper. 2. Trace it on tissue paper using a black marker. 3. Color your window. You can use the picture of a Luther stained glass window on the main story page as a guide. 4. Outline the tissue paper window with a thin line of glitter glue. Carefully place one piece of waxed paper onto the tissue paper. 5. Flip the waxed paper/tissue paper over and outline the backside of the tissue paper window with glitter glue. Carefully place the second piece of waxed paper onto the tissue paper. 6. Let the glitter glue dry for 15 minutes to 1/2 hour. 7. Cut out the window, leaving 1/4" to 1/2" margin around the outside. 8. Fit your window into the embroidery hoop. Align the top of the heart with the top of the clamp on the outside loop and tighten into place. 9. Trim any excess waxed paper/tissue paper from the back of the hoop. 10. Hang your stained glass Luther window from a suction hook on a real window.
