Bible

Along with the 23rd Psalm, these are among the most popular and often repeated Psalms.

Psalm 121

1  I will lift up my eyes to the mountains;
From where shall my help come?
2  My help comes from the Lord,
    Who made heaven and earth.
3  He will not allow your foot to slip;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
4  Behold, He who keeps Israel
    Will neither slumber nor sleep.
5  The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade on your right hand.
6  The sun will not smite you by day,
    Nor the moon by night.
7  The Lord will protect you from all evil
    He will keep your soul.
8  The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in
From this time forth and forever.

Psalm 138

1  I will give you thanks with all my heart
I will sing praises to You before the gods.
2  I will bow down toward Your holy temple
And give thanks to Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth
For You have magnified Your word according to all Your name.
3  On the day I called, You answered me
You made me bold with strength in my soul.
4  All the kings of the earth will give thanks to You, O Lord,
When they have heard the words of Your mouth
And they will sing of the ways of the Lord
5  And they will sing of the ways of the Lord,
For great is the glory of the Lord.
6  For though  the Lord is exalted
    Yet He regards the lowly
But the haughty He knows from afar.
7  Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me
You will stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies
And Your right hand will save me.
8  The Lord will accomplish what concerns me
Your lovingkindness, O Lord, is everlasting
Do not forwake the works of Your hands.
Psalm 46
1  God is our refuge and strength
A very present help in times of trouble
2  Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change
And the  mountains slip into the heart of the sea
3  Though the waters roar and foam
Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride
4  There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God
The holy dwelling places of the Most High
5  God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved
God will help her when morning dawns.
6  The nations made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered
He raised His voice, the earth melted
7  The Lord of hosts is with us
The God of Jacob is our stronghold
8   Come, behold the works of the Lord.
Who has wrought desolations in the earth
9   He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth
10 Cease striving and know that I am God
I will be exalted among the nations.  I will be exalted in the earth.
11 The Lord of hosts is with us
The God of Jacob is our stronghold.

Psalm 150

1  Praise the Lord!
    Praise God in his sanctuary
Praise Him in his mighty expanse
2  Praise Him for His mighty deeds
Praise Him for his excellent greatness
3  Praise Him with trumpet sound
Praise him with harp and lyre
4  Praise Him with timbrel and dancing
Praise Him with stringed instrument and pipe
5  Praise Him with loud cymbals
    Praise Him with resounding cymbals
6  Let everything that has breath praise the Lord
    Praise the Lord!
