1. Print the Trinity pattern on white paper. 2. Place a piece of white tissue paper under the printed Trinity symbol. Carefully cut out the entire Trinity symbol from both the pattern-printed paper and the tissue paper. Put the cut tissue paper aside. From the printed paper, cut out the shaded areas as shown in the picture to the left (cut out is shown on a blue background to make the outline stand out). Once cutting is done, there may be a little extra paper around the pre-printed outline. Use a black magic marker to fill in those spaces and make sure the outline is solid black. 3. Flip the now cut printed pattern over on the tissue paper and carefully trace the outline of the top and side openings onto the tissue paper using a green marker. Remove the printed pattern and color in the boxes. The picture on the left shows how it looks when one of the three boxes has been colored. 4. Cut two pieces of waxed paper to fit the embroidery hoop. 5. Use a small dab of glue to carefully attach the tissue paper to one sheet of wax paper and the trinity pattern to the tissue paper. Place the second piece of wax paper on the top. 6. Carefully center the paper over the inside hoop, and slide the top hoop into place. Trip excess wax paper. 7. Cover the hoop with green felt or other decorations, if desired. 8. Hang in a window! You may want to substitute the sheet of waxed paper used on the back for a colored piece of plastic wrap. |
