2. Glue the beige strips onto one of the brown card stock strips. leaving a small gap between the beige strips. On the sample the beige strips are shown in blue; brown strip represented in red.
3. Flip the brown strip over and glue beige strips so that they fill the gaps on the other side. Sample shows beige strips on reverse side in pink. Let the glue dry.
4. Weave 4 brown strips over and under the beige strips on both the front and back of the basket.
5. Fold the 2" strip of brown card stock in half and place a line of glue on the bottom inside edge of each side of the fold. Place it over the edges of the top of the basket weave. Sample shows top strip in yellow. Put the basket weave under a book and let it dry completely.
6. Trace the can lid onto corrugated cardboard and cut it out. The cardboard should fit easily inside the can lid. Set the cardboard aside.
7. Place a thin bead of glue along the outside bottom of the basket weave and press it into place on the inside of the plastic cover. Staple the overlapping side edge together.
8. Put glue on the bottom and outside edge of the cardboard circle and carefully place it on the inside bottom of the basket. Let the basket dry.
9. Print the bread cut-outs on beige or white card stock. Carefully cut out the 5 loaves of bread.
10. Begin by covering the stapled edge of the basket with the first loaf of bread, then arrange the other 4 loaves at equal intervals around the basket. Glue them into place.
