Freedom in Christ

| July 4th is the day we celebrate our nation's independence. The United States gained its independence through the work and sacrifice of brave men and women who dedicated their lives, and many lost their lives, to reach that goal. Our personal independence is a gift of God through Jesus Christ, purchased through Jesus' death on the cross. Just as we cherish and are thankful for our freedom as citizens of America, we must also daily be thankful for our personal freedom in Christ. The Holy Spirit can help us and work through us to share the blessings of freedom with others every day! This means working to secure equality and dignity for all our countrymen, of every color and belief, and sharing the path to Freedom in Christ in both action and word every day. |
