Knut Knutsen Bjørgo, ordained 1873. Norwegian Synod 1873-current.

Born at Stavanger, Voss, Bergen on Oct 2, 1847.  His parents were Knut B. and Gjertrud (nee Magnessen Hjørnevig).

He immigrated to the US in 1848 and attended Luther College from 1864-1870 and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, 1870-1873.

He served as a pastor in Lake Park MN 1873-1888; Red Wing MN, 1888-present. He served as a substitute theology professor at Luther Seminary from 1881-1882; Minnesota district chairman 1892-present; US missions committee, 1891-current; Synod trustee, 1896-current; member of the Church advisory committee 1893-current; unity  committee, 1913-current.

He married Ingeborg Lien in 1876,
